Dulong Neighbour Day Morning Tea

neighbour-day-collage-2016

An opportunity for neighbours to connect and celebrate our community!

Everyone is welcome to join in a community morning tea on Sunday 26 March 2017
Please BYO reusable mug and a plate of food to share

It’s time to think about a positive community message for our community Mud Cake!

In 2016, the message chosen was – “Sharing and Caring”.

Why a Mud Cake?
Dulong is an Aboriginal word meaning “mud” or “wet clay” (SCRC, Libraries 2017)

Location: ‘On the Verge’, corner Dulong/Thrushs Road, Dulong @ 10.00am
We are still working to secure land for community use for informal get-togethers like this.

Until then, ‘On the Verge’ activities will continue (approved by council, including signage).

This activity is registered with the Neighbour Organisation, to show that we want to do something that contributes to building connected, healthy and resilient communities that are welcoming, kind and supportive.

Neighbour Day is celebrated on the last Sunday in March every year with the aim of fostering strong personal connections that last the whole year round. Every day can be neighbour day.

The wonderful thing about Neighbour Day is that it’s a community movement, and it is communities that help to spread the word about Neighbour Day and join in Neighbour Day celebrations.
